Kludd's triumph over the former High Tyto. Kludd probably would have more likely have had the owl lying on the castle floor or something, but I brought the pair up into a tree because I couldn't make solid ground work out that well.

There's soo many things in this that I could have done so much better, but my computer was attacked with viruses, and its memory had to be wiped. This is the only place that this pictures exists now, so I can't work on it.

*EDIT* you can see a video of me speedpainting this piece here: [link]

I love the moody background and the way you did the helmet
I think it would of looked a little better if the owl under him looked a little ragged or had a wing laying out like it had been flying.

Thank you for the comment and the fav! :D I honestly can't do the underside of barn owl wings, but I may add some scratches and ruffled feathers to the dead owl. I was thinking about a little bit of blood on Kludd too(not much) just to show that they were actually in a quarrel.

Well the underside is very similar to the top of the wing, normally the 2nd layer of flight feathers is a bit shorter. The other bits sound great :) Bloody Kludd... I'm sure he would love that.

Oh, I can draw the shape of any wing easily, it's just that it always seems to take me months to draw the underside, I don't really know why. I think that I'm better with dark colors, because the undersides of barn owl wings are white, and white always seems to make the imperfections of my drawing stand out.

maybe you should do it in grey then adjust the levels in photoshop to make it white, don't always shade in grey either. :)

I always use black and blues with different opacities anyways, but I'll try the adjustment thing.

Okay, because I thought that you were talking about shadows at first, and was thinking 'Yellow in shadows? That's queer..'
(Thank for your criticism by the way, you've been very helpful ;) )
